What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger - Queen of the South

This post is sponsored by USA Network, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
These days I am struggling with keeping up my motivation and energy, and even though I am a strong person, I do have my days like this. I consider myself lucky to live in the age where women empowerment is trending, and motivation and inspiration is literally everywhere. One of my motivational routines is watching empowering TV shows, dressing up the part and taking some time to myself. These days I am catching up on Queen of the South seasons 1 and 2, in preparation for season 3. I am obsessed with Teresa Mendoza and the way she rose up from the bottom to build her empire. She enjoys being boss, having a lavish luxury lifestyle and using her power, ruthlessly moving on after her heartbreak. Something all women could use as an example. Can't wait to see what happens in Season 3, that premieres Thursday, June 21 at 9/8c on USA Network.

Discover Your Unique Personality Type with Good&Co

This post is sponsored by Good&Co but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
We are fortunate to live in a time, when information is so easily accessible, innovation and individuality are encouraged, and growth and progress are the definition of success. We can also learn about ourselves much faster with the help of personality quizzes and tests, and therefore choose a better fitting career path. My new favorite way to learn more about myself is the Good&Co app. It's a self discovery app that uncovers your personality type through a set of fun quizzes. It helps you discover your strengths and weaknesses, find a career you love, learn how to succeed in it, explore your work style and how to become a better leader. Not bad for a simple app, right?
I took the first test to get my custom Strengths Card, which showed (or rather confirmed) that I am a strategist, a go getter and a visionary, and also confirmed just once again that I have a creative personality (along with other traits like discoverer, innovator etc). It's pretty fun to discover your unique personality traits, and to find a new or adjust your existing career in case the one you have no longer fits your personality. As for me, I am sticking with the same path as it still fits me perfectly - creating great content, negotiating on my own behalf and having my own schedule :)
Download the app and take the first Good&Co quiz yourself. Unlock the Strength card, discover in-depth insights into your work style and your compatibility with others and companies!

How to Have More Fun in Your Life

We all have busy lifestyles these days. The term "work hard, play hard" is used everywhere, yet a recent Chase Freedom Unlimited Card survey found out that Americans are experiencing fun deficit and are not having enough fun in their lives. But Chase is on a mission to change that by introducing the new Chase Freedom Unlimited card, that offers 1.5% unlimited cash back on every purchase. There’s no minimum to redeem for cash back—cardholders can redeem any amount, any time.

There are so many ways to have more fun in our lives, and it doesn't have to be expensive or cost anything at all. As you can see from the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card survey, spending time with people you care about tops the list, small treats like coffees, ice cream etc and treating others are next on the list. But to add more fun we have to first recognize that the sources of it are truly unlimited.

As for me personally, this year I have gone through a lot of changes in my life. I learned that life is an unpredictable journey and that I have to appreciate every single second of it. I am therefore thriving to add fun to my life every single day. Here are my little tips and tricks for adding more fun in life:

1) Laughing, goofing around and just being silly anywhere I go.

Dating Tips for Men + Play #AYTO to WIN A Trip to Hawaii

I have noticed quite an increase in my male audience and wanted to start a little section for guys. Whether it be male fashion, lifestyle or dating tips, I'll be sharing some articles every once in a while. But I am sure ladies can still benefit from this material and, if they like it, share it with men in their lives.
Today I am going to share a few dating tips for guys, which are especially relevant for first dates. So without further ado, here is my list:

How to Eat Less Sugar

Spring is only a few days away and while I am still recovering from the terrible cold I had for the past week, a month of over-eating beforehand due to my parents month-long visit (best time of my life!) and finally that very long holiday season full of treats and indulgences, I find myself a few pounds heavier and a little bit (or moderately!) out of shape. Admitting the fact is already hard enough, but then comes this really unpleasant feeling when your clothes just don't fit right anymore.
Obviously I started browsing the internet and found hundreds of articles on how to lose weight fast, but I quickly realized that as much as I desperately want to lose weight, my main concern is still health.
So I turned to my good old (or new?) friends - books (which is by far the only New Year's resolution that I keep sticking with!). I have just finished "The Body Book" by Cameron Diaz and I can't recommend it enough! It is very easy to read and, most importantly, very easy to implement. Cameron doesn't just talk about food, she touches every aspect of wellbeing in a very "21st century" way. The book is very informative, but as soon as I read the small article about sugar, I immediately bookmarked it and decided to share with you guys!

How to Be Happier in 2015

Wow! It's 2015! How did that happen??? I remember when it was 2000, I was thinking "...in 2015 I will be so grown up and the world is going to be completely different". And it is... Time flies and we all wish we could stop it, but we can't. Days pass, months pass and eventually years pass just like moments, so we better get on track and enjoy every moment life has to offer. I was thinking about the new year, new goals, new dreams, new directions and of course.. resolutions.
I don't believe in setting definite or restictive goals as new year's resolutions. We all know that we work hard the first couple of weeks of the new year and then simply forget about them. Instead, I try to introduce little changes in every day life and stick by them. My current list is:
- eating a little healthier (avoid sugar and alcohol when possible);
- working out more (instead of watching two movies in one day like I sometimes do, I can actually watch one and work out for one hour instead of the other one);
- reading more (I mean actual books, versus magazines, online news and all that... I am a strong believer in books as a main source of knowledge, motivation and self development);
- and overall be happier...
But how can you be happier? My belief (and it's also a well known fact) is that happiness comes from within. I have been preparing for this resolution for quite some time last year and, after reading several books and articles, I couldn't find a better formula than Mr. Shawn Achor. Here are the main 5 things he suggest to do to become a little happier.

How to Stay Motivated

It's no secret that a major part in achieving our goals is staying motivated. But with so many obstacles in our way and so many distractions it's easy to lose motivation, get stuck and just become unhappy. I decided to put together a short list of ideas on how I stay motivated and hopefully you will find something useful for yourselves here too.
1) Reasons. This is a big one. It's a fact that if you don't have a big enough reason to accomplish something, you probably won't. Either change the goal or find a good reason to achieve it.

How to Stay in Shape in Style

I am very far from being in a perfect shape, but I get so many compliments from you that I start believing that I am getting closer :) Maybe I should thank my love of smoothies or my obsession with Beverly Hills based class Physique57 (those who want a free class check out my Twitter). But fact is, I don't thrive to be in a perfect shape (oh, those "embrace your body shape" punch lines). Not that I would mind it, but my main objective of working out and making responsible food choices is to stay healthy and strong.
And of course, the biggest motivation to go to the gym (apart from staying healthy and keeping fit) is pretty colorful workout clothes that you get to wear. I don't think I'd ever be ok with the amount of bright colors in my outfit as much as I am, when I am going to the gym =) Complement the look with a matching or a contrast bag. Mine is from Punchdrunk Panda! Isn't it the cutest bag ever? =) Not only it's affordable on it's own, but you can also take advantage of a 15% discount, just because you read my blog ;) Use the code "PDPxDIANA15at checkout =) Stay Healthy and Happy Sunday!
