My Fresh Face Tips and Tricks

I teamed up with Olay to bring you my latest tips and tricks of staying "forever young". Not that I am at an age where I have to do much, but I definitely reached the stage where I have to seriously reconsider my skincare routine to avoid big problems in the future. The earlier you start the better it will be for you. So here it is! To achieve beautiful, youthful and fresh skin I created a bunch of habits that I try to stick to on a daily basis.

1) Green juices. The is by far the easiest method to get all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs in a matter of minutes. Ideally you have to drink them every day, but I am yet to master this habit on a daily basis. Reminding myself the many benefits of the juice and the feeling I have after drinking one help me stay on track. Not only green juices are great for boosting your immune system, increase your energy levels and facilitate weight loss, they also give you a glowing complexion and may also reduce the risk of serious illnesses like heart disease, strokes, cancer and more. Are you running to the kitchen already? :) By the way, the juice doesn't have to necessarily be green, here is a good yummy option for your consideration ;)
2) Working out has to be part of your life no matter what. Even if it's a daily 30 min walk around the block with your partner or your best friend. As long as you make even a little bit of effort but you stick to it consistently, you'll eventually see the great benefits on your health and overall wellbeing. It's scientifically proven and it's much easier than you think. Read what keeps me motivated here.
3) Positive feelings. It is proven that positive emotions can prolong beauty for years or maybe even indefinitely. Now, it's important to remember that aging with occur at some point no matter what, but beauty is a trait that you can keep indefinitely. Sometimes you see people who are the same age as you are but they look/feel/behave much younger and they are just more beautiful inside out and you wonder what do they do for that? Well, apart from a few cases where they can be obsessed with beauty and longevity and make it their full-time job, most of those people have one thing in common. They chose to reduce their stress levels by consciously switching their negative thoughts to positive and taking each day with a smile. Learning how to consciously switch your emotions is hard and requires much more work on yourself than simply spending hours in the gym, coming up with the latest anti-aging drink/food and spending tons of money and time on costly beauty procedures. But it's not THAT hard. As they say, remember it takes 37 muscles to frown and only 22 to smile, so smile, it conserves energy :) 
4) Beauty tricks. While I am not a beauty expert because I try to go as natural as possible, I still have a few beauty tricks behind my back. It's a whole other post, but make up does help you look fresh and pretty, and therefore feel young. Don't be scared to invest in the right products, like a foundation or a concealer, because they stay on your face for a whole day.
5) Skincare. I can't stress the importance of regular facials enough. I don't think you can achieve all the benefits of fresh and youthful looking skin without a properly educated esthetician and the right products. As you might have noticed, my beauty routine constantly changes, but I stick with the key element, which is proper hydration with the help of serums or a good quality creme. My current favorite is a Olay Regenerist micro-sculpting creme which helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, boost skin's hydration and elasticity and most of all, feels like a luxurious treat for your face.

  10. great post! I drink a lemon (juice from 1/2 a lemon) & fresh grated ginger 'Tea' every morning before eating, it not only detoxes your digestive system but helps keep your skin clear & fresh! Like you I prefer to leave my skin sans make-up when possible
