Life Hacks: How To Indulge Mindfully with VitaTops

This post is sponsored by VitaTops, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
My life has always been an "organized mess", as I call it; and you guys know about it. I don't shy away from stating the reality of my behind-the-scenes, which is sometimes full of events and meetings, sometimes full of boring and unproductive errands, and always full of emotional highs and lows. It's a mess, but a mess that I learned how to survive and thrive in. With such a hectic lifestyle, I rarely have time to cook, and, even if I did, I am just not a big fan of cooking. Therefore, I always try to find different products that can make a healthy, delicious and fast meal or snack on the go. I love sharing them with you guys, so here is another discovery of mine - VitaTops MuffinTops!

This post is sponsored by OLLY, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Last year was a very challenging year, and it is taking it's toll on me these days. Not only you guys are seeing that my creativity and overall drive has declined significantly this month, but I also hit my lows with depression and anxiety. But it's life, things happen and we learn how to get back on our feet. I am now actively trying to get back to my normal routine and get my health back on track.

Smoothie Obsession

As I mentioned last month, I am trying to get more vegetable in my diet and wanted to quickly update you guys on my progress. I try to get pressed juices or smoothies whenever I feel like I am lacking greens as it's the easiest and most convenient way to have enough vegetables in your diet. Smoothie King's Veggie Avocado Pineapple smoothie is still my favorite as avocado is so filling and nutritious that I can't find any other food that will get me so obsessed about it :) Don't forget to sign-up for a $2.99 20oz. coupon via email and sign up to earn rewards in the Smoothie King loyalty app ;)

Veggie Blends for Spring

Spring is in full swing and it's time to rethink out diets for health and body benefits ;) I personally noticed that I haven't been getting enough vegetables in my diet, and I was trying to find a way to add them. As we all know, the easiest one is to drink them in a nutritious smoothie. I was excited to find out about the new blend from Smoothie King - Veggie Avocado Pineapple. There are tons of reasons to love avocado, and no matter how you pair it, they just add up. From skin and blood pressure benefits, to weight management benefits, avocado has it all. Plus it tastes delicious mixed with juicy pineapple. But don't stop there, there are other veggie flavors at Smoothie King, that are delicious and nutritious: Apple Kiwi Kale, Berry Carrot Dream and Carrot Kale Dream. A New Way to Stay Hydrated

Healthy levels of hydration can increase energy levels, regulate circulation and digestion, and improve overall skin complexion. I don't know anyone who doesn't know this, yet most of us are still dehydrated due to our busy lifestyles and/or frequent travels. It's especially easy to forget about hydration while on a trip. As you might know from my social media, I am in London right now and I found a great way to help me reach my hydration goals before and during my trips.

Soft Skin and Healthy Body

This week I partnered up with Flywheel and Vaseline for an exciting opportunity. I got a chance to attend the popular cycling studio Flywheel in LA yesterday. Normally, I am not that much into cycling classes, but I might reconsider my preferences after visiting Flywheel. The upbeat music, dark room and constant movement made me feel like I am in a club, only it was a healthy version of it :) I was half dancing, half cycling and definitely got my blood moving. It's a great cardio workout for people like me, who don't move much.
After the class I got a chance to try out and take home Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer, which I used all over my body after the much needed shower. I usually don't use any body lotions because I can't stand feeling sticky or greasy after I just cleaned myself. In so many years I never found one that I could use regularly. But Vaseline definitely made a difference. It took me seconds to dry after my initial application, and the skin instantly felt smooth and moisturized. A very convenient 360 degree application made the process super fast, which is extremely important to me. I absolutely loved the experience and I will definitely be using the product for a while now. Finally a body lotion I can use regularly! Have you tried it?

Let's Cook: healthy, easy and delicious!

Most of you are probably aware that I don't cook. At all. My wildest cooking achievements are boiling rice, making an omelette and making two-ingredient pancakes. I am a great smoothie chef though, but that's another story ;)
But recently things have changed. Ever since I have partnered up with Blue Apron and tried out their service, I think I might have discovered my new passion. Not for cooking in general though, but definitely for cooking with Blue Apron.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this subscription meal planning service, each week they deliver farm-fresh ingredients in exactly the right proportions straight to your doorstep. The ingredients come in a refrigerated box with a step by step cooking guide of your meal. What's even more exciting is that their meals never repeat themselves, which means that every time you get a box, there is a meal you've never had before. It definitely saves a lot of planning time, creativity, grocery shopping and waste from unused ingredients. Moreover, they offer a large selection of recipes on their site, and are always adding new dishes to their menu every week. I am already eyeing to try a few other recipes form their site, particularly Swedish Style Turkey Meatballs. They look so delicious!
With free shipping, no commitment (you can skip and cancel the service any time!) and shipping to over 80% of the country, it's definitely a service to try! By the way, you can try your first 2 meals for FREE: just click HERE and join!
The meal that I am showcasing today is Almond-Crusted Cod with Coconut Rice and Ginger Spinach

How to Eat Less Sugar

Spring is only a few days away and while I am still recovering from the terrible cold I had for the past week, a month of over-eating beforehand due to my parents month-long visit (best time of my life!) and finally that very long holiday season full of treats and indulgences, I find myself a few pounds heavier and a little bit (or moderately!) out of shape. Admitting the fact is already hard enough, but then comes this really unpleasant feeling when your clothes just don't fit right anymore.
Obviously I started browsing the internet and found hundreds of articles on how to lose weight fast, but I quickly realized that as much as I desperately want to lose weight, my main concern is still health.
So I turned to my good old (or new?) friends - books (which is by far the only New Year's resolution that I keep sticking with!). I have just finished "The Body Book" by Cameron Diaz and I can't recommend it enough! It is very easy to read and, most importantly, very easy to implement. Cameron doesn't just talk about food, she touches every aspect of wellbeing in a very "21st century" way. The book is very informative, but as soon as I read the small article about sugar, I immediately bookmarked it and decided to share with you guys!

How to Stay in Shape in Style

I am very far from being in a perfect shape, but I get so many compliments from you that I start believing that I am getting closer :) Maybe I should thank my love of smoothies or my obsession with Beverly Hills based class Physique57 (those who want a free class check out my Twitter). But fact is, I don't thrive to be in a perfect shape (oh, those "embrace your body shape" punch lines). Not that I would mind it, but my main objective of working out and making responsible food choices is to stay healthy and strong.
And of course, the biggest motivation to go to the gym (apart from staying healthy and keeping fit) is pretty colorful workout clothes that you get to wear. I don't think I'd ever be ok with the amount of bright colors in my outfit as much as I am, when I am going to the gym =) Complement the look with a matching or a contrast bag. Mine is from Punchdrunk Panda! Isn't it the cutest bag ever? =) Not only it's affordable on it's own, but you can also take advantage of a 15% discount, just because you read my blog ;) Use the code "PDPxDIANA15at checkout =) Stay Healthy and Happy Sunday!

Anti-Aging Cacao Smoothie

I know I got you all excited for a cooking post, but I forgot to mention, I don't cook :) I am terrible at determining if the food is ready so I either burn or undercook food, so I am forced to come up with easy solutions for myself. For example, I absolutely love making delicious smoothies, because they are super fast and easy to make (just throw everything in a blender!), delicious and so good for you! My first smoothies recipe that I'd like to share with you is this cacao based anti-aging smoothie!
