Healthy and Simple Snack with Bellwether Farms

As you know my life is insanely busy and I am always on the go. It often takes its toll on my health and wellbeing because I have a risk of skipping meals and overeating next time I eat. Therefore I am always looking for food hacks and healthy snack alternatives. Recently I decided to go back to basics, and rediscovered my love for yogurt. But not just any yogurt - sheep yogurt from Bellwether Farms
It has the most nutritions whole milk, which has more protein, good fats, and vitamins and minerals than either cow or goat milk. It's also the most digestible, which makes a perfect snack! Instead of making recipes with it, I just enjoy it alone and it became such a favorite of mine. When I say I got back to basics, I went for it fully, so I go for the simplest flavors - plain or vanilla. It's perfect in between meetings, as a post workout snack or just as a little pre-dinner appetizer to enjoy while taking a neighborhood walk with a view.
I love that Bellwether Farms is a family-owned farm and creamery in Sonoma County, California. So not only I support small businesses, but also local farms. I also love the fact that the their full-fat sheep yogurt is probiotic and contains 12 live, active, beneficial cultures free of antibiotics and growth hormones. And lastly, during September Bellwether Farms is partnering with Whole Kids Foundation and donating $1 of every cup of yogurt sold to support schools and inspire families to improve children's nutrition. Get a discount for Bellwether Farms sheep yogurt at your local Whole Foods with the coupon provided on their site.

Great Summer Snacks with My/Mo

This post is sponsored by My/Mo but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
You guys know that I am obsessed with food hacks and latest treats and inventions in the food space. So here is another discovery of mine - My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream. It's definitely something. A combination of deliciously chewy mochi dough with mouthwatering melty ice cream in just the right amount. At only 110 cal per serving it's a perfect snack or an addition to ANY meal this summer. Seriously! I already tried My/Mo Mochi Ice Creams with every meal and at any occasion. Weather it's after a tennis game, a snack while chilling by the pool or mid-afternoon bite, it's my perfect companion this summer. Love all their flavors. They are so fun and instagram-friendly: ripe strawberry, sweet mango and cookies and cream. Try it, and you won't regret it ;) I found mine at my local Pavillions, find your nearest location for these delicious snacks HERE.

Life Hacks: How To Indulge Mindfully with VitaTops

This post is sponsored by VitaTops, but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
My life has always been an "organized mess", as I call it; and you guys know about it. I don't shy away from stating the reality of my behind-the-scenes, which is sometimes full of events and meetings, sometimes full of boring and unproductive errands, and always full of emotional highs and lows. It's a mess, but a mess that I learned how to survive and thrive in. With such a hectic lifestyle, I rarely have time to cook, and, even if I did, I am just not a big fan of cooking. Therefore, I always try to find different products that can make a healthy, delicious and fast meal or snack on the go. I love sharing them with you guys, so here is another discovery of mine - VitaTops MuffinTops!

Plant Based Goodness

As you know from here, I have been playing around with plant based food options. It's nice to make these small healthy changes every time I cook (or prepare food haha!). I changed my regular butter for Earth Balance Buttery Spread in my go-to sweet snack (blueberry waffles!) for me and my friends. At first, they didn't even notice, but after a few minutes of munching on the waffles, they started noticing a bit of a change in taste. When I told them about my little trick, a few people admitted that they already use Earth Balance, and that's how they knew the difference. It's a healthy delicious and easy substitute for healthier vegan options of your favorite recipes. Try it out for yourself and read more about the benefits here.

Plant Made Dinner with Earth Balance

My life has become crazy busy recently. With so many things happening, I hardly have 5 hours of sleep, not to mention that I haven't been to the gym in a few weeks (guilty of that!). I obviously know that it is just a period, and I'll have a more well paced life once things settle down. But how do you maintain a healthy lifestyle while being so busy? I addressed my diet. I obviously can't make strict dietary restrictions (otherwise I will just go insane, I love food way too much :)), but a few adjustments that I made in my diet went a long way. I now have more energy and am able to keep up with my schedule without always feeling tired. I limited (not excluded!) meat products and recently found out that I am gluten sensitive, so I limited gluten products as well. Replaced my morning oatmeal with a "healthy granola + greek yogurt + berries" combo, that I alternate with a meal replacement vegan shake. Lunches and dinners are usually on-the-go for me these day, and I am trying to play around with vegan meal options.
Therefore, an invitation to a plant-made dinner with Earth Balance came at the right time. I got to explore delicious plant-based dishes made with Earth Balance products (the dessert with peanut butter mousse and coconut whip was soo good!) and mingle with a great group of other foodies and bloggers.
Plant based food doesn't only mean healthy to me. It means vitality, energy and adventure. I do not in any way promote a fully vegan lifestyle as I believe it's a personal decision for anyone based on multiple number of reasons, but I strongly believe that including more plant meals in our diets and limiting animal products definitely helps in our journeys to health and vitality!

Let's Cook: healthy, easy and delicious!

Most of you are probably aware that I don't cook. At all. My wildest cooking achievements are boiling rice, making an omelette and making two-ingredient pancakes. I am a great smoothie chef though, but that's another story ;)
But recently things have changed. Ever since I have partnered up with Blue Apron and tried out their service, I think I might have discovered my new passion. Not for cooking in general though, but definitely for cooking with Blue Apron.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this subscription meal planning service, each week they deliver farm-fresh ingredients in exactly the right proportions straight to your doorstep. The ingredients come in a refrigerated box with a step by step cooking guide of your meal. What's even more exciting is that their meals never repeat themselves, which means that every time you get a box, there is a meal you've never had before. It definitely saves a lot of planning time, creativity, grocery shopping and waste from unused ingredients. Moreover, they offer a large selection of recipes on their site, and are always adding new dishes to their menu every week. I am already eyeing to try a few other recipes form their site, particularly Swedish Style Turkey Meatballs. They look so delicious!
With free shipping, no commitment (you can skip and cancel the service any time!) and shipping to over 80% of the country, it's definitely a service to try! By the way, you can try your first 2 meals for FREE: just click HERE and join!
The meal that I am showcasing today is Almond-Crusted Cod with Coconut Rice and Ginger Spinach

Anti-Aging Cacao Smoothie

I know I got you all excited for a cooking post, but I forgot to mention, I don't cook :) I am terrible at determining if the food is ready so I either burn or undercook food, so I am forced to come up with easy solutions for myself. For example, I absolutely love making delicious smoothies, because they are super fast and easy to make (just throw everything in a blender!), delicious and so good for you! My first smoothies recipe that I'd like to share with you is this cacao based anti-aging smoothie!
