In November, holiday gifting is already on everyone's mind. In the hustle of gift ideas, we often forget about the most important person in our lives - ourselves. If we are lucky enough, we may have  a surplus in our allocated budgets to spend on ourselves, but, more often than not, we spend our entire holiday budget on gifting others.

This year I am teaming up with Target to change that. We encourage you to put yourself first on your holiday list...right now! Before holiday madness kicks in, find a gift for yourself! Target believes that when you treat yourself first, you'll be inspired to treat others with more  optimism and excitement. So I decided to check it myself :P

I shopped Target's Wonderlist (search "Wonderlist" on Target.com) and found myself three little gifts: one piece of apparel (a green turtleneck), one accessory (a holiday-friendly velvet clutch), and one beauty item (Essie nail polish with golden glitters). These three little gifts are going to be a great foundation for many holiday looks to come, but here are two of my favorites thus far: a casual comfy look with a warm cardigan for a holiday stroll around the neighborhood, and a classy look in green and blue hues, finished with over-the-knee boots and a statement necklace for a holiday party.

Now I am definitely more excited to shop for others ;)

Winter is right around the corner, and, being an L.A. resident I couldn't be more excited. We'll finally get those few month of cold and have a chance to show off some winter fashion! I am partnering with Target again to showcase the most popular way of dressing this time of the year: layering. Instead of going for typical layers of clothes, I decided to spice it up by introducing accessories as a layer and, most importantly, layering the bottom of my look (the boots) as well. Both the top and bottom of my look have three layers, and they match perfectly in one cute and cozy look.
I love adding a statement jewelry piece to a turtleneck, or any tight top for that matter. It adds an extra layer of chic without being too bulky. The thin, long, gold necklace was a good addition to an overall winter ensemble.
As for the white long socks, I was amazed. I found these at the back of my closet, barely worn due to being too long, but they added such a level of coziness and made my boots look so different. Will definitely be incorporating more of these layers through the winter.

Monday was very busy, I had to work from home taking care of emails, admin and accounting. Left the house for a few errands in my favorite skinny jeans, a relaxed shirt and my favorite Kenzo espadrilles - stylish and easy!

Whatever the season, the year or age, denim is always on trend. The beauty of denim is that no matter your shape, size and body type, you can still have at least one flattering denim piece. 

This month I have been challenged by Target to share my denim truth with my favorite denim style and play with my denim dare by trying a denim style that's totally different from what I usually wear. Instead of playing with denim styles (skinny, flare, boyfriend), I decided to play with different washes. For my denim truth, I wore low-rise skinny jeans in medium wash - my usual go-to. Skinny jeans are always flattering and the wash is great for styling the look up or down. In my case, I styled it up with a pair of high heel sandals and a skinny top. As for my dare, I decided to experiment with washes and got skinny leggings in indigo acid wash. They look so cool and so retro, that it inspired me to go for a grunge look with a cool "Rolling Stones" tee, leather booties and a fedora hat. Daring my denim look made me feel creative and confident, I think I might have discovered a new style ;) And how would YOU dare your denim style? By the way, Target has a great denim promotion going on right now: shipping and returns are FREE. When Target asked me to discuss this topic, I immediately jumped on board since it's an ongoing battle for me and, I am sure, many other women. We are talking about confidence during swim season. Target is on a quest to encourage confidence and excitement this summer by celebrating every body type with a variety of swimsuits in styles, sizes and shapes that fit everyone.

Let's talk real. We all have our insecurities when it comes to a beach body. The first time I approached this topic on the blog was two years ago (read here), but not much has changed since then. Except for the fact that I learned that the right fit of swimsuit is the key determinant of your confidence on the beach. I usually spend days looking for a perfect swimsuit and try countless options (whether it's shopping online or in store). My body is pear-shaped (no matter how much I hate it, so I might as well start loving it :) ) and therefore picking the right swimsuit that accentuates my advantages and hides my flaws is extremely important. After trying countless swimsuit options at my local Target, I found this one - it highlights my body's natural curves and, most importantly, hides the widest part of the body with a little mini skirt, making it appear more proportional. I love the retro theme of the swimsuit - it's definitely one of my favorites.

But now that I have invested so much time and money finding the right swimsuit, I don't need to limit myself to the beach any more. There are countless layering options incorporating my swimsuit into a variety of summer looks. I can style it with pants and skirts, and even throw a blazer on top of it for a professional office look. But my favorite look so far is the one below. It is a perfect one for a classy weekend shopping stroll, a nice mid-summer brunch or a romantic July date. The swimsuit therefore is a centerpiece for any occasion ;)

Whether you are headed to Coachella or just jamming to tunes on a walk to class, boho looks are all the rave. Festival fashion doesn't only happen at festivals, it's everywhere as long as it's festival season ;) I have partnered with Target to create three looks inspired by three different music genres. They are incredibly affordable at Target and I think all of them would be great for any festival you are planning to attend. 

So the first look showcases essential elements of any festival: a denim vest, a fedora hat and a pair of comfortable booties. This hippie-chic look is a great idea for a rock night.

Winter is in full swing (in some places :P) and this post is yet another way to prove that we don't have to wait for summer to experiment with fashion and especially with white colors. My latest collaboration with Target is all about wearing white in winter. Here are three ways to wear white-on-white for a fashionable winter outing: a soft and comfy white sweater from Target with high heel winter boots, with the leather jacket for a cold evening and with white converse for a casual fun all-white look.

We have all been in situations where we have to put together a last minute look. Whether you are going to an event straight from work or your outfit got ruined on your way there, there is always that moment full of pressure and disappointment. Target asked me to show you that it doesn't have to be that way. It's actually quite the opposite - it's fun and creative! :) I stopped by my local Target and was able to put together this chic and classy look in as little as 10 minutes! And some of the items were not only discounted but on clearance! I literally got a whole new look well under $100! I am guessing you already can't wait for that "stressful" situation to happen - another excuse to go shopping on a budget :)

As the New Year approaches, Target has challenged me to come up with style resolutions to update and refresh my style in 2015. As you know I love playing around with my style and I try to stay as versatile as possible, but I must admit, I still play it safe sometimes and rarely go completely out of my comfort zone. My style resolution is simply to try pushing further in exploring countless style possibilities and never be afraid of trying anything new.

I was thinking about what's missing in my wardrobe and what I'd like to see myself wearing more and I came up with ... tights. I started wearing patterned tights recently and immediately fell in love with the idea of countless patterns. You can change your look completely just by changing the color or the pattern of your tights! I already acquired a few additions to my growing collection at Target and I am on the quest for more - luckily Target has a lot to offer :)
