On the streets of New York..

While back in New York I had a chance to collaborate with the incredible photographer Jamie Mann on a few street style photos. I absolutely love his work and was super excited and even a little nervous for this shoot. Jamie utilizes the lighting, the perspective, the time of the day, the location and the outfit itself so skillfully that you don't even notice how much hard work and experience goes into what seems like an effortless snap of the camera. He is a true professional and a breeze to work with. The results speak for themselves!
You might have already recognized my favorite Edward Roth jacket (yes, I wore the same jacket in two different colors, pink one here). Love how the boots and the jacket match in color and designer  accessories complete this luxury look - true elegance with a futuristic note.

Home Away From Home - The Empire Hotel

September is almost over. I honestly believe there is some secret force that makes the months go by so fast that you feel like you fell asleep at the beginning and woke up at the end of the month but you only slept a few hours.. Looking back at September, which is always the busiest month, I feel very happy and grateful for my experiences, the highlight of which was definitely New York Fashion Week. Not only I enjoy the fashion week itself, but going to New York is already exciting enough :)
I always have these mixed feelings towards New York - I love and hate it at the same time. It makes me angry, happy, encouraged and disappointed - kind of an emotional roller coaster. But the only feeling the stays the same is the warm feeling that I get when I arrive at my "home away from home" - The Empire Hotel. Last year I gave you a sneak peak of my hotel room, and this year I am taking you to the rooftop where I snapped a few shots right before it started raining on my last day in NYC. That day was full of meetings so I went for a cool black and white look with my favorite wedge converse that I can't get enough of.

Future Perfect

If you are my regular reader, you might know that I am a huge fan of Edward Roth New York (as seen here and here), so naturally I could not not wear it while in NY especially at fashion week. I am dying over their carefully crafted fabrics and artistic prints, but when I saw this jacket I was stunned. The futuristic design with perfectly sculpted shoulder details highlights the body and transforms you into another sleeker time. And all of that in pastel pink? I am sold! If I could, I'd wear it every day not only because I love it that much, but I also love the effect it has on people while wearing it - everyone is sort of fascinated and amazed at the same time - it's truly magical!
In terms of styling, I used the jacket as my statement piece and chose neutral black color for the rest of the look. And since it was fashion week, I just had to spice it up with my neon pink heels from Saint Laurent which I wore for a few shows before switching to my furry and more comfy Dolce Gabbana booties.

Make your Denim Shirt Look Chic at #NYFW

When I was buying these boots back in January, I already imagined myself wearing them to fashion week :) But when the time came I got a little stuck. It's easy to wear them with a one tone dress, but how could I make my look original without looking like a clown? :) It took a little bit of planning and thinking but finally I came up with this denim and white combination and obviously had to add some extravagant eye-catching accessories like Versace jeweled cat-eye sunglasses and Ted Baker Moti Clutch with mohican detail, which I have been lusting over for about a year! By the way, notice how I buttoned up my denim shirt and lifted up the collars for an extra touch of chic. I still have a bunch of looks to share with you guys, so stay tuned for more NYC fashion ;)

Day 3 of #NYFW : Sequins and Mirrors

My day 3 of New York Fashion Week was very hectic with lots of shows and events. Even though the weather turned out to be very hot, I still didn't regret wearing the sequin Ted Baker blazer, because it's so cool and eye-catching, and most importantly, it was a perfect item to complete my look.

New York Fashion Week Day 2

So I know I am a little behind, so expect a crazy overload of NYFW blog posts in the near future :) Here is day 2 report of my NYFW. No matter how many shows I saw that day (honestly, I don't even remember already :) ), August Getty definitely stood out. Stunning cutout dresses and minimalistic monochromatic designs (not to mention perfect looking models with their perfectly straight hair) left me speechless, but nothing had a bigger impression on me than this dress...it's incredible!

New York Fashion Week Day 1

Wow! What a day it has been! Since early morning till late evening I was running around town attending shows and parties! And all of that on 7 hours of sleep in 2 days - pretty brutal! I'd like to  believe that the first day is always the busiest (based on my last year's experience), but I feel like they might all be busy this time around... So I won't sleep more than 5 hours any time soon. I guess that's part of the job, so I'll still take it =) I am trying to keep you updated on everything I do in this fashion week on my Twitter and Instagram. TWITTER is definitely more detailed though, because I don't want to overload my Insta with 20 photos a day. Thank you for being so engaging there! Love to interact with you guys!
Now, let's talk about my look before I tell you all about the shows I attended. Started fashion week with a chic and glam look with classy sweat pants from Sandro and a ruffle crop top from ASOS. Accessorized with a body chain from ASOS, awesome sunnies from Versace and my new booties from Dolce Gabbana! I already know that it's probably my favorite look of the whole upcoming week. I loved every single detail and apparently street style photographers did too =)

Flashback Friday: Leather and Sweatpants at NYFW

I found this look from NYFW that I haven't shared with you yet. I decided to combine something that might sound a little weird: leather and sweatpants. But nevertheless, this was one of my most successful looks at NYFW, I literally got stopped by street style photographers every 5 seconds.

Like a Man

This was one of my looks I wore at New York Fashion Week - not my typical style, but I enjoy a challenge once in a while ;) While street style photographers found it interesting, it also caught attention of some people when I was walking on the streets on New York after the shows. Even though it's inspired by male fashion, I still find it feminine and classy.

The Empire Hotel, Fashion Week and Edward Roth

I loved staying at the Empire Hotel during New York Fashion Week. It was right in the middle of all the action, literally steps away from the Lincoln Center (no cab required!) and had the best parties on the rooftop. One of them was the RewardStyle party - the coolest part was getting there: get out the hotel room, take the elevator and ... you are there =)
On a side note, I found my new favorite brand! Edward Roth is a luxury brand that connects art and fashion together! All their art is licensed and impossible to copy which makes you feel like a million bucks when wearing their unique and fashion forward clothing!
I felt so lucky to wear their exclusive and incredibly beautiful dresses during the Fashion Week - I never got that many compliments on my outfits as when I wore Edward Roth!
Be sure to check out their new store (or shall I say gallery?=)) in Soho, New York!

Day 5 of New York Fashion Week

So I've been back in LA for a couple of days now, but it already seems like New York Fashion Week was just a dream. I can't believe that just a week ago I was running around New York trying to catch all the shows I was invited to. Here is my look that I wore on day 5 of New York Fashion Week.
I combined this unbelievably cute purple skirt from TBagsLosAngeles and black blouse from Rails. I didn't have any appropriate belt for this look, so I came up with an idea of using my Gucci foulard scarf as a belt and finished the look with a statement Zara clutch. By the way, I am obsessed with these mirrored sunglasses from Carrera. They were my go-to sunnies during the whole Fashion Week.

Fashion Week Continues...

My days are all mixed up at the moment. I don't remember what was yesterday and what I have planned for tomorrow. I am definitely enjoying lots of events and exciting collections. On the downside, I barely sleep, eat once a day and change around 4 times a day =) Imagine how much time I spend thinking what to wear! Here is a short recap of the most exciting events recently.
Let's start with the most relaxing so far - a lovely Sunday brunch with PAVAN on the beautiful rooftop of the Refinery Hotel. I wore a feminine and incredibly pretty dress from Club Monaco, which seemed to be a perfect choice for a Sunday afternoon. Added this cute thin necklace from Wild Butterfly Boutique to keep the feminine vibe. Even the Pavan sangria (which is absolutely delicious and refreshing, by the way) matches my look =) By the way, check out Pavan's Facebook Sweepstakes - very exciting!

Day 2 of NYFW - Neon and Stripes

For the second day I chose neon and stripes - a simple three-color game which helps you stand out from the crowd. Obsessed with this Kate Spade clutch, that looks like a real newspaper.

New York Fashion Week Day 1

New York has been crazy so far. Lots of events and shows, very little sleep, lots of heels and most importantly lots of photographs taken =) I am excited and happy to attend New York Fashion Week for the first time. I will take you on an exciting journey of my days here and will highlight the most memorable moments. So here is Day 1, which was probably the busiest full of amazing events and incredible memories.
The first look of the day was total Zara (yes, it always saves us when we don't know what to wear =)) with a beautiful envelope clutch from Givenchy.
