Suspender Pants

This season I didn't go to fashion week. It's been a very rough period of my life and fashion week plans quickly fell apart... I did however plan a few looks for it and this was supposed to be one of them. But who needs fashion week to dress for it? :) I can just dress like this here in LA.

Transitioning to Fall

Fall is right around the corner and I slowly transition my wardrobe into the new season. Over the weekend I donated three huge bags of my old clothes to Goodwill and I am ready to restock my wardrobe with fall items. Apparently, this season I am into brown leather (faux leather of course!) - how much more "fall" can it be? ;) Picked up the leather skirt at Zara and styled it with uber-elegant top combo from Topshop. And the key piece of the look, to my mind, is my colorblock tote from Culture Riot! So spacious and so "fall"!
And the most exciting news now! Tomorrow I'll be in New York and will start "reporting live" from New York Fashion Week. I am so excited to attend it this year again (last year's adventures are here) and I am so grateful for your support, without which I wouldn't be there! Follow my Instagram adventures on @byDianaMarks and the next blog post will definitely be about New York ;)

Parental Advisory: Classy Nerd in Town

When I was a little girl I had a very bad eyesight but I was so terrified of looking ugly or nerdy in glasses that I preferred to see very poorly than to look funny! Nowadays, years after my laser eye surgery, I find myself obsessing with clear fashion glasses because a) they look so awesome and b) being nerdy is very cool (or am I the only one who thinks so? :) ).
Love the colorful frame of these glasses from Trioo and obsessing with the affordable version of popular "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" sweatshirt from ChicWish. Happy Monday!

Black and Gold

If you follow me on social networks you might remember that I attended style and beauty event by Style2020 a few weeks ago. The panel included guest speakers from such powerhouses as Sephora, L'oreal and LVHM, who were naturally such an inspiration! All the conversation was accompanied with a delicious meal and champagne. Not bad for one Friday afternoon ;)
I wore this awesome set from Three Floor, which is quickly becoming my favorite brand, and gold accessories for a chic polished look.

Denim Jumpsuit and Hair Secrets

Most of you have probably seen this look on my Instagram last week. Nothing to add here: the denim jumpsuit from Joe's Jeans is so trendy and hip (and so versatile!) that even adding only one color to the look made it already awesome :) By the way, it looks equally good with nothing on top and a pair of cool flats ;)
But let's talk more about my hair. I get asked all sorts of questions about my hair and here is a little insight into my styling routine.
First, I should state that my hair is very fine and thin, and therefore pretty hard to style. On top of that, if I leave my hair to dry naturally after I wash them, I will look like I went partying to a rock concert for three days in a row.
It's extremely crucial for me not only to have a good quality styler, but also to ALWAYS have it on me! I can't go one day (not even talking about traveling!) without a styler, otherwise my hair will be a mess and I won't be able to leave the house for public safety reasons :)
I tried many brands (some worked better than others), but recently I got to work with ghd and try out their new ghd ECLIPSE styler. The idea is that it styles faster with less heat! Saving time and less damage to the hair? I could definitely benefit from that! I never straighten my hair completely, I just style it in a desired shape and direction, so ghd is a perfect choice since it works so fast and so effectively.

Rainy New York

On my last day in New York the weather suddenly changed and it started raining. Rain is one of the things I miss when in LA and hate when in any other city =) And yes, this is what happens to my hair when it's raining - another reason not to like it.
