As you know from my Instagram, I took a weeklong trip to Europe during Christmas period last month. I attended my close friends' wedding in Cambridge, England, and spent Christmas with one of my old friends in Vienna, Austria and even took a day trip to Budapest, Hungary. The trip started the day after my birthday, which I celebrated for the first time in a while (so obviously the celebration went way past midnight), and the day after I landed in London Heathrow, I needed to be fully ready for a wedding day of my friend. Quite an intense schedule, but I honestly don't think I'd be able to do it without Club World Amenities of British Airways. As you know I have been flying with British Airways Club World facilities for the last few years, and here is a recap of my top 4 reasons why this is an absolute best travel experience.
First off, as always, the most basic and still number one difference in Club World flight experience is their spacious seats in private areas (I strongly recommend booking your seat in advance or checking in as early as possible to reserve the most private window seats), that fully convert into flat beds, which makes such a difference on long haul flights. I am always able to catch up on my sleep in both directions to and from Europe. Full disclosure, because of this, I never get to enjoy their unlimited entertainment options with access to hundreds of new movies, that are offered on their flights. Since their partnership with the luxurious bedding brand from England - the White Company - their beds just feel like home beds (particularly their pillows are a HUGE game changer), and I fall asleep in a matter of minutes. This is one of the best upgrades they did in the recent past.
Second is the food. As soon as you get on the plane, you immediately get offered either a glass of orange juice, water or champagne (or all of the above, your choice), and get presented with a menu for the flight. Their three-course meals are inspired by some of the world's top chefs and combine local and international flavors to create a mouth watering experience. You can choose anything, from lighter to heavier options, or skip some of the courses. Food is accompanied by a range of spirits, soft drinks, a variety of wines and/or a brand new blend of Union Hand-Roasted Coffee.
Third is the speed. And I don't mean the speed of the plane carrying you, but as a Club World passenger you get access to priority check in desks, priority security clearance, priority boarding and a fast track security to enter the country at London Heathrow, London Gatwick and New York JFK. Huge time saver, which makes the whole travel experience flawless.
Fourth - the lounges. Definitely a world of calm and tranquillity amongst hectic airports. Most of you know that you can relax and recharge before the flight in one of the elegant departure lounges fully stocked with drinks, refreshments, magazines, comfy sofas, free Wi-Fi and charging stations. But very few know about their arrivals lounges. A huge game changer for me in the last few times I travelled to Europe was the Arrivals lounge at Heathrow, which is usually open until 2PM. It's a perfect way to recharge, snack, get yourself together and even shower or iron your clothes at the clothes-pressing service before a busy day in London. You can even indulge in a luxury facial treatment, or relaxing massage from the famous luxury skincare brand Elemis at their spa.

ReplyDeleteNot everyone can get a comfortable and modern flight, but it seems to me that this is possible with a British airline. Save the form and not lose it during the flight, quickly and timely solve problems on the spot of arrival and all this thanks to the British Airways.
