Last year was full of travel experiences for me. I stayed in lots of lovely hotels, from big chains to boutique ones, and one of my favorites and freshest in my memory is Hotel Augustine in Prague. It was my first time visiting Czech Republic, and the hotel was a perfect choice. It is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to city's sights like Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, and, most importantly, it has the most fascinating history.
The hotel's suites feature amazing views of Prague castle, the monastery or garden courtyards. But the most impressive room is the 360-degree-view Tower Suite, a three-story penthouse that once served as the monastery's observatory. You can see the whole Prague from there!
The hotel is based in a former monastery, has a private entrance to the 13th century St. Thomas Church, and has a working community of Augustinian monks that live on part of the premises. The property, the rooms and the common areas are all beautifully and tastefully decorated conveying a luxury feeling in a serene environment.
The monastery's brewery still brews the monks' secret recipe beer, that is sold exclusively at Hotel Augustine. And their beautiful bar features amazing "archangel" cocktails under the 19th century frescoes.
The bathroom was my favorite room with heated floors, marble decor and so much space!
As for the meals, their restaurant is a perfect option for a delicious and luxury dinner in a comfortable setting, and breakfast...well no words needed, just look at my face :)
If you want to experience Prague with it's beautiful history, and breathe through centuries of stories while having the luxurious experience, look no further than Hotel Augustine. You won't regret it!
