Westwood Village Memorial Park

Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park is hidden behind tall buildings located on Wilshire Boulevard. You could easily drive right past the park without even realizing it was there. Even though the cemetery is tiny, it is very beautiful. It is a final resting point to some of the most famous stars in Hollywood, including Marilyn Monroe, Donna Reed, Dean Martin, Natalie Wood, Cornel Wilde and many others. If you choose to visit one Hollywood Cemetery, Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park is your best choice. It is a small, intimate and very well-kept park, where stars' graves are fairly easy to find. Marilyn Monroe's tomb is probably the easiest to find because it is discolored from a lot of fans, who have touched and kissed it.

  2. This looks like a very peaceful place. The red white blue bow on the standing flower arrangement looks like the Luxembourg flag.

  12. In Russia we have absolutely different cemeteries... It's wonderful to see so "compact' (it I can use this word) places for burying. The same I can say about Portugal when I live now. They prefer big family's crypts.

    1. I couldn't agree more. In Russia cemeteries are absolutely different, they have a very tragic feeling. Here if you go to the cemetery you feel peaceful and maybe a little sad, but not tragic. The cemeteries look like parks and they are very beautiful.

      Thanks for your comment, dear!

  15. Wow...these are amazing photos. As much as I love marilyn Monroe, it still surprises me that she was born in 1926!! That's older than my grandmother.
